Robert Pease Curry married Annie Sarah Rogers Dec 4, 1872 in Meredith. She was the daughter of Thomas B. and Lucetta D. (Willoughby) Rogers.

After wife Annie died in 1895, Robert married Cora J. (Huntress) Carr Feb 22, 1897 in Meredith. She was the daughter of Horace and Mary Huntress and former wife of Gilman M. Carr. (Cora was the mother of Eva C. Carr who married Ned G. Huckins of Ashland.)

Died age 75, 6 mos and 5 days at the Memorial Hospital in Plymouth from acute pulmonary edema following an operation. His occupation was that of a Postmaster. Father's name given as Patten Curry. Burial was on Feb 11, 1924 Squam Bridge, EG Gammons, undertaker, Ashland.

~~~Added by BL Hughes: Robert P. Curry, one of the oldest and most respected men of Holderness, passed away last week Friday morning at the Plymouth Hospital where he was sent for surgical treatment. Funeral services were held at the Curry home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial was in Squam Bridge Cemetery. Rev. Manter was officiating clergyman and E.G. Gammons undertaker in charge. The bearers were Frank Eastman, Ned Huckins, Clinton Durkee, John Cox, Fred Perkins and Myron Carr. A male quartette consisting of Charles Shaw, Jason Sanborn, John and Fred Perkins furnished music. The display of flowers was the most handsome seen in Holderness for many years.

Mr. Curry was born in Holderness August 3, 1848, the son of Patten and Johanna (Piper) Curry. For the past thirty years he had been Postmaster, Town Clerk, Town Treasurer, and School Treasurer of the Town of Holderness, besides holding other important offices. He was known among hundreds of New England people who spend their summers in the camps and cottages around Holderness.

He is survived by a widow, two step-daughters, Mrs. Ned Huckins and Mrs. Frank Eastman both of Plymouth, a sister, Mrs. D.W. Cox of Lakeport, two nieces, Mrs. Clinton Duncklee and Mrs. Alice Lavoy, and a nephew, John Cox, all of Lakeport. Mr. Curry was always a strong Republican and represented the town in the State Legislature. The Ashland Citizen, February 16, 1924, p2.
