Dema was born December 5, 1935 in Galveston, Texas to the late M.S. and Charlcie (Clayton) Atkins. She and Richard Lunsford were married on June 7, 1955 in Houston, Texas. They moved to Olney from Throckmorton in 1964. Dema was a homemaker and had been a Director and Counselor for Camp Cousins. She was a member of the Newcastle Church of Christ. Dema was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Carol Sue Bockhorst.
Survivors include her husband Richard Lunsford of Olney, Texas; three sons: Raymond Lunsford and wife Lisa of San Antonio, Texas, Holt Lunsford and wife Kaye Dawn of Dallas, Texas, Will Lunsford and wife Kerri of Midland, Texas; two daughters: Lynnette Nelson and husband Marc of Irving, Texas, Lisa Lunsford of Olney, Texas; a brother Dick Atkins and wife Sonya of Houston, Texas; sixteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening, August 17, 2011 from 6 ~ 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
