Beulah Anna May met the "School Sisters of Notre Dame" from Milwaukee, Wisconsin during her high school years in Huntington, Indiana. She joined the order when she finished high school at the age of 18. She took the name Sister M. Bellarmine. She received her Master's Degree in Teaching and taught at the grade school level in Chicago, Illinois, Gary, and Logansport, Indiana. She died of Cancer in 1971 at the age of 59. She was buried in the Sister's Cemetery in Elm Grove, Wisconsin.
