CLYDE — The funeral for Etmer LaBarge, 83, Clyde, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde, the Rev. Henry J. Kieffer officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Clyde.
Mr. LaBarge died Wednesday at St. Joseph Hospital, Concordia.
He was born Nov. 27, 1896, at Clyde. He was a retired farmer and a lifelong resident of the Clyde community. He was a member of the Catholic Church and Woodman's Lodge, Clyde.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Sorell, and Mrs. Lucille Ouellette, both of Clyde; a son, Melvin, Topeka; three sisters, Mrs. Amos Cyr, and Mrs. Mary Hunter, both of Concordia; Mrs. Eda Charbonneau, Clyde; a brother, Alphonse, Clyde; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Mr. LaBarge's wife, Edmay, died in 1974.
The family suggests memorials to the Mt. Joseph Nursing Home, Concordia.
The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Chaput Mortuary, Clyde.
