MISS CHURCH IS DEAD

THE END CAME AT 2 THIS AFTERNOON

Termination of a Long and Painful Illness

Miss Addie Church died at Sherman hospital at 2 p.m. today after a long and painful illness from tubercular peritonitis. She had been ill for a long time, and just a month ago and operation was necessary. It was realized then that she would probably die, as the operation is a severe one. She rallied well, and for a time strong hopes were entertained for her. The disease set in again, however, and at last broke the threads of her fair young life. Her parents were present from Barrington at her bedside at the last. Everything that could be done for her by the best care and attendance was done, but it only served to prolong her life for a short time.

MISS CHURCH'S FUNERAL

Will Be Held at Barrington Wednesday Afternoon

The funeral of Miss Addie Church will be held at the home at Barrington on Wednesday at 3 p.m. Elgin relatives and friends will go by carriage.

Besides her parents, Miss Church leaves two young brothers and a married sister, Mrs. E. H. Sodt, of Oswego. Miss Tinker and Mrs. Dana Richardson of Elgin are cousins.

Miss Church's death Saturday was a peaceful one. Her relatives were with her, with the exception of Mrs. Sodt, who arrived too late.

Her betrothed, Sergt. Wm. Gieske, was also present. She was unconscious nearly all day Saturday, and seemed to sink into a quiet slumber. All the care possible was given her by her physicians, nurses, and her own people during her illness. Her death brings deep grief to many hearts.
