US Congressman. Elected to represent Massachusetts' 4th and 6th Districts in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1823 to 1829. Also served as a Member of the Massachusetts State House of Representatives in 1804, Delegate to the Massachusetts State Constitutional Convention in 1820, and Member of the Massachusetts State Senate in 1830.
