Edward A. Gomoll Died Jan. 4
Edward A. Gomoll, 64, of Fort Benton, died Jan. 4, 1975, at Columbus hospital in Great Falls where he had been a patient for about a week.
Mr. Gomoll was born in Chaska, Minn., Nov. 16, 1910. He married Doris Calkin on July 28, 1934, in Great Falls.
He came to Montana in 1931 and worked for a time for the Great Northern Railway and later became a heavy equipment operator. He worked for Chouteau county until his retirement in 1972. The family resided in Loma from 1934 until 1972 when they moved to Fort Benton. He had been in poor health for a number of years due to a bad heart condition.
Survivors are the widow; daughters, Bunny Albers of Fort Benton and Karen Thompson of Havre; and sons, Larry Gomoll, of Agan, Guam, and Gary Gomoll, Fort Benton; 15 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Other survivors include two sisters, Madge Andreen and Elsie Striefland of Minneapolis and a brother, Carl Gomoll of Brainerd, Minn. Seven brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
Services were Tuesday afternoon at Benton Funeral Home. Burial was in Riverside cemetery.
