Rites Sunday for Rutledge Soldier.

Services for Pfc. Wallace P. Forquer of Rutledge, who was killed Oct. 1, 1944, while serving with the Fifth Army in Italy, were conducted at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the South Bethel Church by the Vern Stone Post of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post of Memphis. Wallace Forquer was born June 1, 1924. He attended Chaney school and was graduated from the Rutledge High School with the class of 1942. He was inducted into the army Feb. 3, 1943, and after received training at Camp Howze and Ft. Houston, Tex., he was sent to Italy in November, 1943.
