Wilma Joyce Waldrop
Funeral services for Wilma Joyce Waldrop, 78, of Killeen, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, with the Rev. Kenneth Cavey officiating. Interment will follow at Killeen City Cemetery.

Mrs. Waldrop went to be with the Lord Feb. 25, 2009, with her children at her side. She was born June 21, 1930, in Savoy, Ky.

She moved to Killeen in 1972, and she was an active member of her church and her community. She served as the church secretary of Faith Temple Church from 1984 to 2005.

Mrs. Waldrop was preceded in death by her husband, Clelen O. Waldrop in 1980; her brother, Paul Rains in 1975; her father, Jess Edward Rains in 1984; and her mother, Beulah Rains in 1985.

She is survived by four children, Jerry Waldrop and wife, Linda, of Hamilton, Joyce Hodson and husband, Evan, of Harker Heights, Mary Jenks and husband, Kelley, of Killeen, Darlene Snow and husband, Denny, of Wylie; seven grandchildren, Jason Hodson, James Hodson, Jonathan Hodson, Hilary Waldrop, Lindsay Waldrop, Lauren Snow and Paige Snow; one great-grandchild, Trenton Hodson; her sister, Mildred Bird of Pleasant View, Ky.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jason Hodson, James Hodson, Jonathan Hodson, and sons-in-law, Evan Hodson, Kelley Jenks and Denny Snow.
