Age: 84 years 10 months 7 days

Married William Kirk on March 19, 1829 in Licking County, Ohio.

Mrs. Anna Kirk died at the residence of her son, James S. Kirk, some three miles west of Robinson, Thursday night last, aged 81 years, 10 months, 7 days. Deceased was born in Licking county, Ohio, February 21st, 1809, and was married to Wm. Kirk March 19, 1829.

In 1851 she with her husband and family moved to this county and located on a farm some five miles northwest of this place which has ever since been her home.

August 25, 1822, she was united with the M. E. church and for 71 years she was a shouting Methodist and was known far and near as an earnest, energetic worker for the cause of Christianity. In her days of strength the night's were never too dark nor roads too muddy for her to attend revival meetings held within her reach, and one without her work and enthusiasm seemed to lack in interest. For forty years in succession she never missed attending a quarterly meeting.

She leaves surviving her, D. W. Kirk, Jas. A. Kirk, and Mrs. Wm. Lowery her children, and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn their loss. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. J. Dewhurst, assisted by Rev. J. W. Jackson, Saturday, after which the remains were placed at rest in the Kirk cemetery.
