Duttan Jones or Dutton Jones was born in March of 1854. He was probably born in Knox County, Kentucky. His death certificate says he was born March of 1851, but following him on the census he would be closer to the 1854 year. He was the son of Issac and Emaline (Moore) Jones.

1 August 1877 he married Emeline Perlina Sasser. They had several children. He was always associated with farms and farming.

On 10 February 1930 Duttan died (according to J.S. Awsley who signed his death certificate) that the cause of death was "Do not know the cause of death as he fell dead".

On the death certificate Mr. Jones was to be buried at a BETHEL cemetery 12 of February with no undertaker in attendance. Here he lies in GAMBREL His daughter Maggie is buried here. His wife is buried in EAST COLONY CEMETERY.His wife is in East Colony, his death cert has him in Bethel (New Bethel?): and his stone is in Gambrel.
