Mrs Brown was born in Osage, Iowa in the month of November 1856. She was 56 years old at the time of her death. She was married for about 18 years ago to Charles Brown of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She lived there most of her life and until her husband's death. She then came to Long Prairie to live with her mother.
She is survived by her mother, her sister, Mrs Emily Brown, and by her brothers, George, Alex, Asa and Ki. Mrs Brown resides here, George is teaching in North Dakota; Asa lives in California and Alex and Ki live at home.
Funeral arrangements were held pending the arrival of the brothers, but Asa lives too far away and George wired that it was impossible for him to get here in time.
Mrs Brown was a member of the Baptist church in Eau Claire and had retained her membership in the church of that city. During the long years of her illness she was always cheerful and bore her affliction with Christian fortitude. The sympathy of friends and all are with the family in their bereavement.
