Son of Jeremiah Olds and Idelia Burgess. Married Emeline Traver on 30 Jul 1871 in Genesee County, Mich.

His death certificate states his birth as 11 Nov 1851. This is wrong. On the 1850 census taken on 25 Sep 1850 he was listed as 8 months old. Birth date would have been Jan 1850 or Dec 1849.
