John Louis "J.L." Nolan 69, of Springville died on Tuesday, January 31, 2006. He was a member of the Red Hill Baptist Church and retired from the Alabama National Guard with 37 years of service. J.L. was a avid fisherman and camper, and loved riding horses with children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Nolan, four sons; Johnny Nolan of North Pole, AK, David Nolan (Dana), Scott Nolan (Dana), Greg Nolan all of Springville, two daughters; Vicki Grass (Rony) of Ashville, Jan Hammock (Tommy) of springville, three sisters; Carolyn Roberson of Springville, Hilda Chamness of Ashville, Sharon Jones of Springville, 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Red Hill Baptist Church on Friday, February 3, 2006 at 2:00 PM with burial in Red Hill Cemetery; Ridout's Trussville Chapel in charge of burial. The family will be receiving friends on thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Rev. Wayne Chamness will be officiating.
