Funeral Services Held For Dewey E Reach
Funeral services for Dewey E. Reach, age 43, were held Thursday, at 2 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in West Blocton. The Rev. J. R. Bancroft, of Siluria, officiated, assisted by Rev. N. E. Latner, of Piper. Interment was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Collins directing.
Active pallbearers were Herman Fancher, Carl Dyer, Floyd Morrison, Charles Haynes, Edward Kizziah, and Herbert West.
Honorary pallbearers were I. L. Burt, Horace Roland, Boyd Hartley, Harvey Kizziah, W. T. Morrison, R. M. Moore, Harmon Griffin, W. R. White, Lewis Deerman, Robert Ford, Sam Shuttlesworth and Fred Hillman.
Mr. Reach, a life long resident of West Blocton, died Tuesday at Tuscaloosa following a short illness.
He is survived by the widow, Eunice Hubbard Reach, two brothers, R. D. of Marion, Illinois and C. J. of West Blocton, four nieces and two nephews.
