Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. (TODAY) Wednesday, Jan 21, 2004 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. James Jugenheimer with burial at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.
Agnes was born Jan. 30, 1911 in Reedsville, daughter of the late Peter and Caroline Kirch Gerber. She graduated from Valders High School with the class of 1928. Agnes received a Teaching Certificate from County Normal on June 5, 1929 and taught for serval years before marrying Roland Olm at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clarks Mills on Jan. 30, 1932. The couple owned and operated Pine River Dairy in Newton. He preceded her in death in 1984. Agnes was a member of the Christian Mother's Association.
Survivors include one son, Roland (Rollie) Olm and his fiance, Carol Dodge, Chilton; one daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Gene Meyer, Manitowoc; four grandchildren: Pamela (Ted) Waak, Shari (Brian) Riesterer, Laurie Olm, Sue Meyer; three great-grandchildren; Samantha Schaeuble, Isaak and Eli Riesterer; one sister-in-law; Betty Lou Lutze, Kiel; one brother-in-law; Ray Olm, Apple Valley, Calif. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Harvey and Arnold Gerber: and one sister: Olive Kochan.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 4 p.m. until the time of Mass at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clarks Mills.
Agnes enjoyed playing cards, bowling and was an excellent cook.
The Christianson-Deja Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Valders, is assisting the Olm family with funeral arrangements.
