Hildegarde R. Krueger, 92, of Calumet Homestead in New Holstein, formerly of Brillion, died on Saturday, July 7, 2001.
She was born December 5, 1908 in Valders, daughter of the late Herman and Bertha (Ansorge) Olm. On Feb. 18, 1928, she married Edmund Krueger at Brillion.
She was a member of St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church in Brillion, she was a charter member of the Ladies Aid, and served as secretary for 34 years. She taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and sang in the choir for 50 years. Hildegarde served as treasurer of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League for two terms and was president of the Brillion Senior Citizens for 10 years. She worked with the Meals on Wheels program and was a volunteer driver for many years. She was a representative for the Calumet County Commission on Aging Advisory Board for 15 years, was a member of the Calumet County Long Term Planning Committee, and served on the planning committee for the building of the Garrow Villa in Brillion.
Survivors include three daughters, Lila (Don) Sommers and Phyllis (Harlen) Krahn, all of Brillion, Dorothy (Otto) Rusch of of Iron River, Wis.; one son Kenley (Sandy) Krueger of Brillion; 13 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; a sister Elinore Greve of Appleton and a brother Eugene (Lois) Olm of Brillion, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edmund on May 27, 1967, a sister Betsy Radloff and a brother Gordon Olm.
Funeral services were Tuesday, July 10 at St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church in Brillion, the Rev. Mark Krueger officiating. Burial was at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Brillion.
Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion served the family.
