Kent Blake Thorne was born on March 8th, 1961 in the American Fork Hospital to E. Max and Laurel Willes Thorne. He grew up in Pleasant Grove, Utah and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a two year mission to Arcadia California. He married his sweetheart, Caroline Besse Mathews, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 30th, 1986. They made their home in Orem, Utah where their four children were born: Felecia, Kimberly, Justin, and Aubrey. Kent passed away on September 20th, 2001 in the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah from an extended illness. He was buried September 25, 2001 in the Orem City Cemetery.
