Funeral services for Louise Ethel Womack, age 84, of Tyler, formerly of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 10:00 am Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Autry Funeral Home chapel, Jacksonville with Rev. Garry Masterson officiating

Burial will be held at Tecula Cemetery.

Mrs. Womack passed away Friday, August 19, 2011 in Tyler.

She was born August 21, 1926 in Jacksonville, TX.


Mrs. Womack was a member of Hardy Memorial Methodist Church, Texarkana, served in the United States Army, graduated from Lon Morris College, Jacksonville in 1949, worked at Travis Clinic in Jacksonville 1952-1966, and was a retired Jacksonville Independent School District librarian from 1966 – 1988.


She had a love for books and reading and instilled this in her children, loved to travel, and was known for her beautiful smile.

She is preceded in death by her husband George Womack, parents Arthur Grimes and Ethel Flora Morrow Grimes, and brothers Jack Grimes and Jerry Grimes

Survivors include son Danny Harper of Lindale; daughters Mrs. Robin Mouton of Fulshear, TX and Linda Phillips of San Antonio; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.


Pallbearers will be Don Etheredge, Robert Mouton, Dylan Harper, David Ramsey, Todd Phillips
