Blondina Rosa Loewen Hartman Eaton was born on September 29, 1913, in McPherson, Kansas, to Jacob B. and Mary (Reimer) Loewen. She fell asleep in the Lord on Sunday, November 11, 2007, at the age of 94 and now lives eternally in heaven. 'Blondy' graduated from Newton (KS) High School. She married Paul Allen Hartman on October 10, 1934, and they raised three children, Paul Allen Hartman, Jr., Bonnie Jeannine Hartman, and Jerry Bruce Hartman. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Bethany Lutheran Church in Wichita, KS. She worked at Montgomery Ward, Boeing Aircraft Corp. and retired from St. Joseph Hospital. In 1997, she moved to Moore, OK, joining St. John's Lutheran Church, where her older son was pastor. A few years later, she became a resident of Grace Living Center, Norman, and then South Park Health Care Facility, Oklahoma City. Blondy's favorite entertainment was visiting with people, but she was also an avid card player and an expert at crossword puzzles. Always a source of encouragement and love to her family, her most-repeated comment at family gatherings was, 'It's so good to have us all together.' Her family looks forward to the time when we are all together in heaven because of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and the salvation He has won for us. This family consists of sons, Rev. Paul and Marilyn Hartman, Oklahoma City, Jerry and Diana Hartman, Henderson, NV; son-in-law, Ken Christensen, Buhl, ID; and grandchildren, Steve and Shauna Hartman, Plano, TX, Mike and Christy Hartman, Tulsa, OK, Jim and Lori (Hartman) Green, Eugene, OR, Bruce and Linda Hartman, Oceanside, CA, Seth Christensen, Castleford, ID, Kathleen Christensen, Nampa ID; great-grandchildren, Courtney and Aaron Hartman, Kurtis Girard, Zackary Searl, Jacob Hartman, Austin and Morgan Driskill, and Justin Green. Siblings surviving her are Marvin Loewen of Kansas and Linda Henry of California. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 30 years, Paul Hartman, Sr.; her second husband, Newton Eaton; daughter, Bonnie (Hartman) Christensen; brother, Orlando Loewen; and sisters, Elma Snyder, Edna Loewen, Hilda Brown, Berniece Scruggs and Luella Mae Reed. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2007, at 2:00 pm at St. John's Lutheran Church, located at 1032 NW 12th Street, Moore, OK. A memorial fund has been established at the church.
