Calvin L.Smith,75, entered into rest at 12:30a.m.Sat.Aug.20,2011 at the Minors Hospital in Hasting,Pa.He was visiting family in Pa.when he collapsed and was taken to the hospital.
Calvin was born the son of James O.Smith and Mary E.Sifford Smith on Feb.17,1936, in Cherry Tree,PA,and resided there until 1959 moving to Leavitsburg,Ohio.
He was employed as a factory worker with the former ITT Grinnell in Warren and was of the Christian faith.
On Feb 5,1955,Calvin was married to the former Delores J.Stiffler and had shared 47 years together,until her death July 28,2002.
Calvin left behind 7 children,20 grandchildren,20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents;his wife; brothers James,Robert,Carl and twins Glenton and Clinton;a great grandson Tylor Bachhofer and daughter in law Dawn.
Calvin will be remembered as a fun man who was always there to lend a helping hand.
