Morgan B. Kiger, aged 76 years, 5 months and 25 days, well known Perry Township farmer and stockman, died yesterday morning, May 3, 1943, at 4:30 o'clock at his home near Claughton Chapel after an illness due to a complication of ailments.
A lifelong resident of southeastern Greene County, he was born November 8, 1866, a son of Benjamin and Margaret Brock Kiger. He married Anna Newell, who survives with the following sons and daughters: Hansel Kiger, of Fordyce; Daws Kiger, of Kirby; Okle Kiger, of Mt. Morris, R. D.; Raymond and Jesse Kiger, of Corapolis, R. D.; Barnes and Herman Kiger, of Mt. Morris, R. D.; Mrs. Velma Wilson, of Blacksville, W. Va., and Mrs. Belle Fox, of Mt. Morris, R. D. Three other children are deceased. There are 16 grandchildren. Mr. Kiger was the last of his family.
KIGER - Funeral services for Morgan B. Kiger, of Perry Township, who died Monday, May 3, 1943, will be held Wednesday afternoon, May 5, at 2 o'clock at the Claughton Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. W. C. Luag in charge. Interment will be in the Kiger Cemetery. Friends will be received at the George L. Church Funeral Parlor, South Washington street, Waynesburg, at any time.
