Daughter of Etta M. Gordon. Her marriage to Albert Jones took a turn when he was incarcerated. She was unable to support the children for long, by herself, and had to relinquish their care to an orphanage in Oklahoma City in May of 1916; although they were later in contact with each other when the children became adults. Her children include Velma (a blues singer in Calif.), Burrell (b. after April 1910), and Walter Jones (Walter's whereabouts remained unknown, and his name probably changed).
Minnie was killed (death year is approximate) during a robbery at the hotel she owned or managed somewhere in the Texas or Oklahoma oil fields.
Minnie's younger siblings were Thomas (1892), Amanda (1893), and Ira Gordon (1895). They lived in Indian Territory (Holder, OK)
