Eleanor Allan Visitation
Mrs. Eleanor J. Allan, 70, died Monday morning at Yavapai Community Hospital following a sudden illness.
Member of a pioneer Prescott family, Mrs. Allen came to Prescott as a young girl and following her marriage she and her husband, George, established the Allan Flower Shop which they operated from 1924 to 1954.
Soon after selling the flower shop, they moved to Kingman where the owned and operated the Hill Top Motel for seven years. They retired to live in Prescott in 1961.
Mrs. Allen was acting in the Order of the Eastern Star and served as a Past Worthy Matron.
She is survived by her husband, George R. Allan, Sr. of Prescott; two sons George R. Allan, Jr., also Prescott and S[amuel]. R. (Dick) Allan of Phoenix; her daughter, Mrs. Patricia Jane Osborne of Phoenix; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial services will be held at First Congregational Church at 9 a.m. tomorrow with the Rev. John Brooks and Dr. Charles Franklin Parker conducting.
The Order of Eastern Star will conduct the interment services following at Mountain View Cemetery.
Friends may call at Ruffner Funeral Home from 4 to 6:30 p.m. today.
