He is survived by his mother Marcia Duncan (husband Don), his father Tom Pearson (wife Sharon), brother James Pearson (wife Syndi), and his most precious nephew Canon Pearson, whom he loved with his whole heart. He is also survived by his grandmother Gert Pearson of Portland, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Joe was preceded in death by his grandparents John & Dolores Perry of Kennewick, grandfather Tom Pearson of Gresham, Oregon and aunt Sharon Meier of Oregon City, Oregon.
Joe attended grade school at Washington Elementary and later Canyon View Elementary, continued his education at Park Junior High and went to high school at Kennewick High, graduating with the class of 1988. Joe then attended Central Washington University, transferred to Western, then back to CWU where he graduated in 1994.
Joe formed friendships from the time he was in elementary school through his whole life. As his brother James said, "Joe never lost a friend, only added to the circle". Joe was liked and loved by so many people. His friends were like his family. He took care of them and was always available to lend a helping hand.
Joe loved the outdoors and played sports with a passion. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had two hunting dogs, Buz and Raz, which were a part of his family and spent many hours training and running with them. Although Joe was into body fitness all through his life, he became an avid body builder the last few years. His final glory was taking first place at the NPC National Body Building in Las Vegas in July, 2008 and was hoping to eventually gain his pro card. Joe gathered friends in every aspect of his life.
His smile and fun loving personality will be missed by all who knew him.
Viewing will be Friday, September 26, 2008, 5:00pm to 8:00pm, at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home located at 1401 S. Union Street in Kennewick. A celebration of Joe's life will be Saturday, September 27, 2008, 10:00am, at The Living Room Church located at 4th & Garfield Street in Kennewick.
In honor of Joe please make contributions to the Joe Pearson memorial trust at Washington Trust Bank in Kennewick.
