W P Hornbarger, father of Capt Dan Hornbarger of this city, died at his home at Hicksville, Va, last week at the advanced age of 78 years.
The deceased had been ill only a short time and a stroke of paralysis, which he suffered is the principal cause of his death. Mr Hornbarger is survived by six children as follows: Messrs W T Hornbarger, of Clifton Forge, J W Hornbarger, of Healing Springs, Dan Hornbarger, of Hinton and Marion Hornbarger of Williamson and two daughters, one of whom resided in Tazewell county while the other made her home with her parent. The wife of the deceased preceded him to the grave four years ago.
