Mrs. George J. Bayer Sr.

Mrs. Mabel C. Bayer, 71 of Mercer Road, died at 3:05 a.m. Sunday, July 10, in Butler County Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness.
Born in Butler, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Young Deer. She was the wife of George J. Bayer Sr.
Mrs. Bayer was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband; eight sons, Charles of Butler R.D. 3, George J. Jr., Niven A., Richard A., Robert A., David D., all of Butler, Francis J., of Trenton, Mich., and Donald D., at home; six daughters, Mrs. S. J. (Bernadette) Hamder, Mrs. William (Lucille) Burris, Mrs. J. C. (Rose Rita) Graham, Mrs. Joseph (Patricia) Pitera, Mrs. Dominick (Gretchen) Leone, all of Butler, and Mrs. Oliver (Eleanor) Rager of Harrisville; three brothers, Floyd Deer of Maryland, Walter Deer of Butler, and Paul Deer of Pittsburgh; three sisters, Mrs. H. C. (Grace) Jackson, Mrs. B. D. (Marguerite) Bell, both of Arlington, Va., and Miss Agnes Deer of Maryland; 35 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

BAYER-Friends of Mrs. George J. Bayer Sr., of Mercer Road, who died Sunday, July 10, 1960, will be received Monday and Tuesday at the family residence on Mercer Road. Funeral services will be held at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. A. R. Welsenberger, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St.
