Mrs. Kate Adams died at her home, 377 N. East Street, Sunday, November 15, after an illness of three days.
She was born in Powell County, Kentucky, October 6, 1885, the daughter of Harem Patrick and Eliza Collinsworth Patrick.
She was married to George Adams who preceded her in death in 1954.
Mrs. Adams was a member of the First Christian Church at Carbondale, Illinois.
She was a 50 year member of Royal Neighbor at Carbondale.
Survivors are her son Paul Adams of Spencer; her granddaughter, Naomi Catherine Adams of Spencer; two brothers, Bud Patrick of Jackson, KY and Sam Patrick of Liberty, KY; and a sister, Fanny Williams of Taylorsville, KY and one foster daughter, Elizabeth Stamps of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the West & Son Funeral Home in Spencer,. The Rev. J.W. Paul was the officiating minister.
Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
