John is survived by his sisters, Cathy (William) Walter and Pamela (Steve) Forstner, both of Chase; nieces Kreena Tasava of Hastings and Tina Cullers of Middleville; nephews William DeWitt and Wichita Falls, Texas and Tyler Walter of Chase; a brother-in-law Kreeno (Marie) DeWitt of Hastings and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and a sister, Louise DeWitt.
Visitation and funeral services took place on Thursday, April 21 and Friday, April 22, 2005 at Verdun Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Baldwin with Pastor David Stiles of Baldwin Baptist Church officiating. Interment followed at Cherry Valley Township Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are welcomed to consider memorial contributions in his name to the benefit of the family.
