Interview by author, Hewitt Clarke with Jack Tann Watson, page 249 book "Money and Blood: On the Highway of Broken Dreams, Meridian, MS"
"June had high blood pressure and was paralyzed by a stroke at age 49. She died at a nursing home from a heart attack at age 51 and buried near San Francisco."

Adopted daughter of Georgia Tann. By the time her mother died in 1950 June was married to Dr. Victor Dupree Watson and already had at least one son, Jack Tann Watson born 1947. Jack married Cheryl Gail Prejean and had son Seth Tann Watson 1979 in Texas.

After Georgia Tann was kicked out of Mississippi she moved to Fort Worth, Texas before making her final move to Memphis, Tennessee around 1924, where she ran the Tennessee Children's Home Society. It was probably in Texas that June was adopted by Georgia Tann.
