He married Flossie Kennedy Dishman on March 28, 1938.
He is survived by 10 children-Dean Dishman of New Washington, Ind., Wedsel Dishman of Taylorsville, Ky., Teddy Dishman of Louisville, Ky., Wendell Dishman of Jeffersonville, Ind., Donnie Dishman of Indianapolis, Ind., Dallas Dishman, Bob Dishman, Jerry Dishman and Terry Dishman, all of Monticello, Ky.; five siblings-Leonard Dishman, Powell Dishman and Bonnie McGinnis, all of Monticello, Ky., Greeley Dishman of New Castle, Ind., and Paul Dishman of Wis.; 25 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Preceding him death was four siblings-Bruce Dishman, Evelyn Abbott, Neil Lowe and Mossie Kennedy.
He was a farmer. He was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at 10 am at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Nick Sucula officiating. Burial was in the Dishman Cemetery.
