LOUDON, Tenn. – Judith Ann "Judy" Elliott, 66, of Tellico Village Community, Loudon, Tenn., passed away Aug. 21, 2011, at Mercy Hospital West.
Judy was a member of Community Church at Tellico Village. Judy was a graduate of Nevada High School, Nevada, Iowa; Iowa Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, Des Moines, Iowa; and the University of Maine Nurse Practitioner Program, Portland. She retired from the medical profession in 1999. She married her high school sweetheart. Judy was an accomplished seamstress and she had a passion for cooking. She served in multiple capacities with First United Methodist Church, Bangor, both as member and chairperson. She had a beautiful voice and sang in the church choir for more than 30 years. Her joy was her family. Judy is also an organ donor.
Judy was predeceased by her mother, Dorthedia Simons Leath; and her sister, Cheryl Leath. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ron Elliott; daughter, Lori Elliott Jarvis and her husband, Otis, of Chesterfield, Va.; son, Eric Elliott and his wife, Danielle, of Cartersville, Ga.; grandchildren, Devan, Kelsey, Tyler, Alex and Zach; father, Bryan Leath; sister, Barbara Leath; and brother, Rick Leath and his wife, Kristy, and family; nieces, Amber Bara and husband, Michael, and Paige Friess and husband, Keith; and nephews, Chad Leath and wife, Kheria, Todd Elliott and wife, Kelly, and Grant Elliott.
A celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at Community Church at Tellico Village. The family will receive friends immediately after the service. Graveside services and interment will be held at Nevada Municipal Cemetery, Nevada, Iowa.
