Lida was born 15 Mar 1919 in Hamilton, Mississippi, daughter of George L. Logan (1882–1970) and Mamie Wright (1883–1962). She grew up in Monroe County and graduated from the University of California - Berkeley, after which she pursued careers as a county home demonstration agent and a high school guidance counselor. During World War II she was an Aviation Cadet in the Womens Army Corps.

On 27 Apr 1952 she married Joe Chilton Johnson in Austin, Texas; they had no children and divorced within a few years.

Lida Logan, age 92, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Waverly Care Home in West Point, Mississippi. Graveside memorial services, with military honors, will be held Friday, May 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Center Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Hamilton, MS with Bro. Tony Rooks officiating. Memorial Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Ms Logan was born on Saturday, March 15, 1919 in Monroe County, MS to the late George Leonard and Mary Ann Julia Wright Logan Sr. She was a Methodist, a retired high school guidance counselor, and a WWII U. S. Army Veteran.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Nathan, George, and Miller, and her sisters, Edrie, Helen, Minnie, Nell, and Maggie.

Survivors include: Nieces and nephews.
