Services for Donald Ray Kraus, 68, Tonganoxie, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tonganoxie Christian Church. Burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie.Mr. Kraus died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan.He was born Jan. 25, 1935, in Leavenworth, the son of John and Lillian (Mason) Kraus.Mr. Kraus served in the Navy during the Korean War. Afterward, he was an inspector for General Motors in Kansas City, Mo., for 30 years until his retirement. He was a member of Henri Mason Lodge, 190 AF & AM and Veterans of Foreign Wars.He married Carolyn J. Coffman on Nov. 26, 1954, in Tonganoxie. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include a son, Lee, Eudora; a daughter, Vickie Biby, Kansas City, Mo.; three brothers, Eugene, Bolivar, Mo., Roy, Paola, and Carl, Osceola, Mo.; a sister, Mildred Ruff, Tonganoxie; and four grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Tonganoxie Christian Church.The family suggests memorials to VFW Building Fund, American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Assn.
