-JACK RAYMOND REINKE-

Jack Raymond Reinke was born on April 15, 1947 and lived in St. Paul Minnesota. He was a 1965 graduate of Mechanic Arts High School. Jack was unmarried when he was drafted into the Army.

After training, his tour in Vietnam started on April 25, 1967. He advanced to Specialist Fourth Class while assigned to the 526th CC&S Company. Jack Raymond Reinke was killed in action on April 9, 1968 when his company was attacked by enemy sappers.

Jack died six days before his 21st birthday and sixteen days before he was scheduled to go home. Jack Raymond Reinke was laid to rest in Fort Snelling National Cemetary section J site 1577, Fort Snelling, Minnesota.

Decorations that he received include the following:

--Purple Heart Medal
--Defense Service Medal
--Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Service Star
--Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal

Vietnam Wall: Panel 49E, Line 005

He will be missed by many.

Note: "PH" on the gravestone means he was awarded the Purple Heart.
