LaBelle, Gerald J. Age 86 passed away peacefully surrounded by family On March 30, 2009. Proud veteran of the US Navy, served aboard the USS Matanikau, CVE101 during WWII. Preceded in death by son, Gerald J. La Belle Jr. Survived by loving wife, Helen; children, Gregory, Maureen Vanek, Mark, Ross; step daughter, Laurel Boerger; 3 grandchildren; 3 great granddaughters; sister, Dorothy Wagner and many loving relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 6PM at Lumen Christi Catholic Community, 2055 Bohland Ave., St. Paul. Visitation Thursday 4-6 PM at the church. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Our Lady of Good Council Cancer Home.
