Graveside services were held Jan. 20 at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery for Donald Patrick Barnes, 61, Gallatin Gateway.

He died Jan. 18 at his home.

He was born Feb. 17, 1922, to William B. and Thorena (Rye) Barnes in Minneapolis, Minn. He married Rose Rothen on Dec. 31, 1955, in Bozeman.

He attended Gallatin Gateway schools and graduated from Gallatin County High School in 1940. He worked in the area with his main occupation being a logger. For the past three years, he and his wife managed the Gateway Café in Gallatin Gateway.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Mrs. Mark (Pamela) Simenson, Norris, and Mrs. Sheen (Patricia) Conway, Glendive; four grandchildren; brothers, William T. Barnes and Earl “Mike” Barnes, both of Gallatin Gateway; sisters, Mrs. George (Clara Lou) Lemon, Gallatin Canyon, and Mrs. George (Alice) DeHaan, Belgrade; aunt, Christian “Kitty” Paul, Bozeman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
