ONE DEATH FROM DIPHTHERIA
Another death occurred in Pottsville yesterday from that dreaded disease, diphtheria. Clara Gross, the bright young daughter of William Gross, was the victim. The family resides on Norway alley, near Bare Field. William Gross is a teamster by occupation. Clara was 12 years of age, and was the oldest of the family. She was out skating three weeks ago; and afterwards took sick, but at first it was only thought she had quinsy. Two other children in the same family also had the disease, but recovered.
