SUDDEN DEATH JOHN KREIE OF APOPLEXY
John Kreie, a pioneer resident of the city, died suddenly at the family home at 115 Division street last evening following a stroke of paralysis. Mr. Kreie had been up and about as usual yesterday and had not complained of feeling indisposed and his death came at 9:30 without warning. He was born in Newton, December 8th 1850 and had always made his home in the county. He was twice married, his first wife passing away in 1908 and two years later he was wed to Mrs. C. Mahnke who survives him now. Besides the widow, three daughters and five sons are living. They are Mrs. Ida Boerckman, Mrs. Wm. Kluzemski and Mrs. Adolph Metzger all of this city. Wm. Kreie of Antigo, Adolph, Walter and Herman of Stetsonville and Robert of Indianapolis. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon and services will be held at the late home and at the German Reformed church. Interment will be at Evergreen.
