Carl Bruns, 74, passed away at his home at 911 Madison street, yesterday. Death was due to the infirmities of old age. Mr. Bruns was born at Hanover, Germany on February 19, 1848, coming to this county from Germany while a child. His parents settled in Sheboygan county. Later they resided at Newton. Mr. Bruns was married to Mary Sturm in 1872 and eight years ago came to this city to make his home. Besides the widow, five children, one
sister, fifteen grandchildren, and one great grandchild survives. The children who survive are Mrs. Ernest Groth, Carl Bruns, Mrs. Walter Kreie and Mrs. Henry Waak all of this city, and Mrs. Henry Vollheim, of West Allis. The sister who survives is Mrs. Matilda Schultz. The funeral will be held Saturday with burial at Newton.
