ALEXANDER, Flora Mary, 100, died August 23, 2011.

Born in Penobscot, Pa., she was a longtime area resident of Wintersville before moving to Stow, Ohio. She loved to cook, sew and tend her flower gardens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1985; son, John; granddaughter, Marcia; brothers, Tony, Joseph and Ralph; and sister, Theresa.

She is survived by sons, Joseph Sr. (Janet) of Hudson, Ohio and Robert (Florence) of Strongsville, Ohio; grandchildren, Brian (Jere), David, Carla, Lisa, Joseph Jr. (Shana), Jeffery (Julie), Andy, Brett (Megan) and Kristen (Bill); great-grandchildren, Teresa, Sean, Shannon, Brian, Jason, Jamie, Kayla, Jonathan, Beren, Billy, Ryan and Benjamin; great-great-grandchildren, Jakob and Rebukah; daughter-in-law, Leila; and many nieces and nephews.

Father Bill Cross will conduct graveside services on Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Summa, 525 East Market St., P.O. Box 2090, Akron, OH, 44398-9976.
