The funeral of Charles F. Anders was held at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the residence, 58 Jiroch Street. Rev. Julius Reichert, pastor of St. John's German Evangelical Lutheran church, conducted the services. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.

(Note: Even though the accident report refers to Charles Andrews - I have every reason to believe it is referring to Charles ANDERS. )

ANDERS, INQUEST TO BE HELD TONIGHT
At the offices of Coroner James F. Balbirnie at 7:30 o'clock tonight the inquest on the death of Charles F. Anders, who was struck and so badly injured that he died four hours afterwards from his injuries, when hit by a Pere Marquette passenger train on the Black Creek trestle, Thursday, will be held. The following jury was impaneled: George Jones, Otto Weilhelmer, Andrew Schmidt, Nicholas Fischer, Nathaniel Shaw and John C. Milke. Charles F. Anders was born in Germany May 20, 1836, being past 77 years of age at the time of his death. He came to the United States over half a century ago and was married to Miss Roseann McGinnis at Somerset, Pa., August 9, 1860. Mr. Anders was a veteran of the Civil War, enlisting in Co. K, 160th Regiment from Ohio, and fighting throughout the war. Besides his widow he leaves four sons, Charley F. Anders of Indianapolis, Ind., John E. Anders of Warren, Ind., William H. Anders of Huntington County, Ind., and Christopher C. Anders, also of Huntington County, Ind. And two daughters, Mrs. C.C. Hause of Wells County, Ind. And Mrs. George Grant of Polaski County, Ind. Thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive him.

The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the residence, 58 Jiroch Street. Rev. Julius Reichert, pastor of the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
