The family name is actually Alcorn even though Sarah's stone shows Alcon (always pronounced Alcorn). Consequently the name spelling Alcon stuck with descendants of her first marriage to John. Descendants of her second marriage to John's brother Alfred used Alcorn which is the proper spelling. There are grave stones for some of her second family. It is obvious to me that there are many unmarked sunken graves and are probably from her first marriage to John A.
