William Woodson Fowler, Jr., "Red", 46 years old, of Leavittsburg, Ohio died Sunday, June 28, 2009 12:35 AM at his home.

He was born November 5, 1962 in Warren, Ohio, the son of Betty Mae Quinby Fowler and the late William Woodson Fowler, Sr. (deceased on March 23, 2005).

William was a 1981 graduate of Labrae High School and was employed in sales for Frito Lay.

Red was a drummer and harmonica player in several area bands, including Break Away and Woody Harris and the Mountaineers. He also was a singer and song writer and he was especially proud of the song "Down by the Clothesline" which he composed, sung and played the drums and harmonica. He will be sadly missed by his friends and family and he was also an avid Cleveland Sports Fan.

Other than his mother of Leavittsburg, William is survived by his wife, the former Renee Whitacre, whom he married on December 21, 2008; two sons, William Woodson Fowler, III of Leavittsburg and Ryan Hopson of Cortland; two daughters, Rachael Ann Fowler of Leavittsburg and Marissa Lutz of Cortland; one sister, Sharon Austin of Warren; a special niece, Megan Elizabeth Delmont of Warren and several other nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts.

Funeral services will be held at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 11:00 AM, where family and friends may visit from 1-3 and 5-7 PM, Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Jon Pratt and Tom Whitacre will officiate.

Interment will be in Meadow Brook Memorial Park, Warren, Ohio
