"Death was due to a heart stroke which he suffered while in the kitchen, he was ill for the last two weeks, but he was able to be up and about the last two days.
"Henninger retired about six years ago from active service at the Hersler-Henninger Machine Works of which he was vice-president at the time of his death.
"A life long resident of Belleville, Henninger was born here October 1, 1866 a son of John and Catherine (Stumpf) Henninger both of whom were born in Germany.
"He married Bertha Stauder in St. Louis, January 1889. After her death he married Miss Augusta Rodenmeyer October 15, 1918.
"In addition to his widow he is survived by a brother Louis Henninger, 1818 S. 18th. Street, St. Louis and one grandson Alfred G. Henninger, 109 West Washington Street, an employee in the Circulation Department of the Daily Advocate.
"He was preceded in death by three sons; two in infancy and Alfred J. Henninger of 109 W. Washington Street who died October 8, 1936.
"The body is at the Gundlach Company Funeral Home. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed."
