David N. Adams, 61, Chillicothe, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born Oct. 29, 1949, in Peoria, the son of Glenn R. and Mary E. (Miller) Adams. He married Dena Darby on Oct. 3, 1975, in Peoria.

Surviving are his wife; son, David Adams of Dixon; daughter, Crystal J. (Chris) Abbadusky of Chillicothe; stepson, Scott R. (Sara) Clarke of Buffalo Center, Iowa; brother, Paul Adams (fiancée Martha Knowles) of Wyoming; sister, Janet (George) Hawley of New Boston; and mother-in-law, Jane Darby of Galesburg. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Dustin G. Hawley.

He worked at Allied Welding for 20 years as a welder.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and loved music.

Cremation rites were accorded. Memorial service will be at noon Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.

Burial will be later.
