Ernst W. Hoefner (sic), 90, of 511 New York Ave., Manitowoc, died Saturday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bethany Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Armin Roekle will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Hoefner was born Feb. 11, 1875, in the Town of Newton, son of the late Henry and Dorothea Horstman Hoefner. He married Helen Reinhardt in 1900 in the Town of Newton, and the couple farmed there and then moved to Manitowoc. For approximately 35 years he was employed by Schuette Bros. of Manitowoc. His wife died in 1948. He is survived by nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc until 1 p.m. Tuesday and after that hour at the church.
