He was born February 6, 1918 in Friend, Nebraska. As a young boy, Dale attended Beaver Crossing Public Schools graduating with the Class of 1936. On October 12, 1938, he was united in marriage to Norma M. Noler in Marysville, Kansas. To this union a son, Robert, and a daughter, Judith were born. Together they lived in Beaver Crossing where Dale farmed for over 18 years. He was also employed as a surveyor for Seward County for 10 years. Dale joined his son Robert and together they operated the B.C. Carpenter Shop in Beaver Crossing.
Dale was a member of the Beaver Crossing United Methodist Church and was a long-time member of the Beaver Crossing Masonic Lodge AF & AM, later joining the Utica Masonic Lodge upon the closing of Beaver Crossing's lodge. Among many things, Dale was an avid gardner, and enjoyed sharing his produce with others.
Survivors include his son and duaghter-in-law, Pastor Robert and Sharon Carr, Sierra Vista, Arizona, daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Donald Stutzman, Beaver Crossing, six grandsons, Michael, Douglas, and Patrick Carr, Craig, Thomas and Kirk Stutzman, a foster granddaughter, Raquel Hoston, 11 great-grandchildren and three foster great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen (Stockdale) Carr, wife, Norma, in 1990, brother Clee Carr, and a sister, Helen Klaus.
