Henry William Clanton, well known farmer residing in Cameron Township passed away at the General Hospital in this city about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, death resulting from Brights disease. Mr. Clanton had been failing in health for the past year or more. About a month ago, his condition becoming serious, he was brought to the hospital here for treatment.

Mr. Clanton was born in Illinois on Feb 3, 1874 being aged 50 years. For a number of years he was engaged in farming in Cameron Township and had a wide acquaintance in that community.

Besides his bereaved widow he is survived by one daughter, Mildred, five sons, William, Orville, Fred, Everett and Lee all residing at home, a brother Charles Clanton of Ottawa, Kas., and a sister, Mrs. Jennie Mayfield of Shelton, Nebr.

Funeral services will be held from the home, 19 miles west of Grand Island, at 1 p.m. Friday and at 2 p.m. from Cameron Church. Rev C.E. Knapp, pastor of the Christian Church of this city will conduct the services. The body will be in state at the Evans Funeral Home, 221 North Walnut Street this city, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday. At which time friends desiring to view the body may do so. Burial will take place in the Cameron Cem.

Scores of relatives and friends attended the funeral of Henry Willam Clanton on Friday. Services being held at his home, 19 miles west of the city at 1 p.m. and at 2 p.m. from the church in Cameron Township. Rev. C.E. Knapp, pastor of the Christian Church of this city officiated. The floral tributes were profuse and very beautiful. Burial was made in the Cameron Cem.
