Funeral services were held here Monday afternoon from the Matthew Funeral Home for Isaac George Fischer, who passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Archie Jones of Flint, on November 7, 1941, at the age of 84 years and 11 months. Rev. Eaden Davis officiated and interment was made here in the Lakeview cemetery beside his wife, who preceded him in death two years ago last April 25th.

Isaac George Fischer was born December 5, 1856, at Benmiller, Ontario, Canada, and came to Michigan 45 years ago. He settled near Bellaire in 1900 in the Montgomery neighborhood east of town where he farmed until 1919, when they moved to Flint where he worked as a carpenter. He was a member of the Bellaire Methodist church.

Mr. Fischer married Wilhemine Maedel December 10, 1884. To this union were born six children, of whom four survive, Mrs. Archie Jones, Mrs. Joseph Paquette and Ross Fischer of Flint and Herman Fischer of Bellaire. He also leaves 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Prayer services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday from the Dodds-Dumanois Funeral Home at Flint with the Rev. R. W. Lindsay in charge.
